The metrix package can be used to print the prosodics/metrics
of (latin) verses. It provides macros to typeset the symbols
stand alone and in combination with syllables (including
automatic alignment like seen above). Furthermore it defines a
new brevis and a longa accent and a bow to contract syllables.

# Installation
It’s recommended to use your package manager to install the
current version from CTAN. To install this package manually
download alls files and then navigate to the folder that
contains metrix.ins.
Run

    latex metrix.ins

to get the file metrix.sty which should be moved somewhere
TeX can find it (e.g. $TEXMFHOME/tex/latex/metrix/metrix.sty)

To typeset the manual run

     pdflatex metrix.dtx
     makeindex -s gglo.ist -o metrix.gls metrix.glo
     makeindex -s gind.ist -o metrix.ind metrix.idx
     pdflatex metrix.dtx
     pdflatex metrix.dtx
