\title{The \pkg{chbibref} package}
\author{Peter Wilson}
\date{2001/03/07}

\begin{document}

\maketitle

In the \pkg{article} class the title text printed by
\verb+\begin{thebibliography}+ is given by the value of \cmd{\refname}
(default \textsf{References}), while in the \pkg{report} and \pkg{chapter}
classes the text is given by the value of \cmd{\bibname}
(default \textsf{Bibliography}).

The command \cmd{\setbibref}\marg{name} will set the title text for the
Bibliography or the References to `\meta{name}' for at least the \pkg{article},
\pkg{report} and \pkg{book} standard \LaTeX\ classes, without having to be
concerned which class is being used.

If you are using the \pkg{babel} package, put \verb+\setbibref{...}+ after
the \verb+\begin{document}+.

\end{document}
