\bluechapter Blues, BLUe`s \& Paradigms

\beginsummary
The BLUe's format material and accompanying articles, which explain details
and show examples, have been listed.
\endsummary

Originally this note was sent along with \bluetex{}
to inform a user about background and related articles.
\TB{} is assumed to be omni-present.
For other references consult lit.dat.

\bluehead The files

BLUe's format has been organized as a `kernel with modules.'
The files are named as follows.
{\parindent4.5\generalindent
\item{the format} \hbox to21ex{\bf \bluetex\hss} the kernel
\item{the databases}
\vtop{\noindent\advance\hsize-1.1\parindent
  \hbox to21ex{\bf fmt.dat\hss}      the  formats\\
  \hbox to21ex{\bf tools.dat\hss}    the  macros and environments\\
  \hbox to21ex{\bf address.dat\hss}  the addresses\\
  \hbox to21ex{\bf lit.dat\hss}      the references\\
  \hbox to21ex{\bf pic.dat\hss}      the pictures\\
  \hbox to21ex{\bf obsolete.dat\hss} obsolete macros and formats.
}\smallskip}
A handy auxiliary is pfile\Dash and the more general pgfile\Dash
to print \bluetex{} with appropriate line numbers in two-column layout.
The general macro prompts for the file name. It is suited to print
\bluetex, tools.dat, or fmt.dat, all with the appropriate line numbers.

This `Publishing with \TeX' is the user's guide.

No profit may be made on it. The articles are free for personal use.
The files are shareware.\ftn{When you are happy with it and wish to support
    maintenance, send me \$ {\oldstyle25} to support my hardware, to maintain
    BLUe's format system. Of course you will be added to my register.blu database.
    Users from Russia can just send me their address, for the time being.}

When the results are used a proper credit\Dash
  be it Knuth or the authors of gkpmac,
  or me for the composition and the fill-ins\Dash
is the least a happy publishing user can do.
