PUBLIC account at Aston University UK October 5 1987
This text is available in
aston.kirk::[public]000aston.readme
The ID is PUBLIC and the password PUBLIC
For each set of software an index file has been created with the name
000index.list
and is stored in the top directory of the set of software. Each set of
software is stored below PUBLIC and where relevant in further sub
directories.
I have a copy of VMS_SHAR and am awaiting a suitable SHAR for `UNIX'. I can
also create `TAR' files for FTP but at present the TRANSFER/BINARY fails
(DEC have been notified).
Further items are always welcome.

PSFIGTEX
========
PSfigTeX is a set of TeX macros to make it easy to include PostScript (and
Macintosh) figures inside a TeX document. It was written by Trevor Darrell
at the University of Pennsylvania, who retains copyright. See the file
COPYRIGHT for details. It arrived as a set of SHAR files, and again, the
structure here is the same as that to be found in the SHAR files.
Features:
Simple, clean interface
Psfig automatically positions the figure at the current pen position
Figures can be scaled easily
Implemented as a TeX macro package; has been brought up under unix,
VMS and OS4000. (Please contact HINES@UK.AC.DARESBURY.MAIL for
the OS4000 version)
PSFIGTEX files aston.kirk::[public.psfigtex]000index.list
This file contains a directory listing (including subdirectories) with
each file listed and its size. The user need not adhere to the directory
structure, it has been used to make maintenance easier.
LATEXSTYLE
==========
This group is the LaTeX Style collection based on TuGboat Volume 8 No 2. The
`shar' files are included in the directory and will eventually be also
provided in subdirectories once I can overcome the problem of the limitation
of VAX/VMS and files which have a non numeric third part to the name.

CRUDETYPE
=========
Crudetype an adaptable device driver (TUGboat Volume 7 (1986) No 3 p 159)

SAUTER
======
This section contains the John Sauter files for creating the cm fonts for
LN03 (see Tugboat Volume 8 (1987) No 2 page 129). The created font files
will be available later.
Index file aston.kirk::[public.sauter]000index.list
CTEX 2.1
========
This group contains CTEX version 2.1
Index file aston.kirk::[public.ctex_2_1]000index.list
PAVEL
=====
This group was contributed by John Pavel and some material is duplicated
elsewhere in the archive. These duplications will be removed as time permits.
The subdirectory structure is I hope self explanatory and is attached here.
There are a lot of files and we hope to provide batching facilities in the
future.
