.SH DESCRIPTION
.IR Tfm2ofont (1)
converts tfm files to old
troff compatible width tables (C program files) which can subsequently
be compiled
and used with troff.
A file is created with the same name as the tfm file with the `.tfm' extension
removed, `ft' prepended and `.c' appended.
.PP
The
.B -s
flag causes the font(s) to be considered special.
.PP
.IR Otroff (1)
scales the width of characters depending on the size currently in use.
So, if a 5 point font is being used, the width is halved.
Because of this, you cannot create a separate font with reshaped characters
for five points with
METAFONT.
\*(TX allows you to do this though.
