[ This is ./DVIware/dvitools/dvipaste/NOTE
for users of the Unix TeX distribution.

 August 1991 ]

Instructions are in the Makefile. Make all, make test,
then install the executable.

From the "LAMS-TeX Installation Manual":

Although the "dvipaste" program was written
specifically for LAMS-TeX, it can actually
be used for numerous general TeX purposes,
in conjunction with an extra macro package
	"dvipaste.tex." The file "dvipaste.doc"
describes such usage, which is further
	illustrated by the files "boxes1.tex,"
	"boxes2.tex," and "join.tex."

You will find dvipaste.doc in this directory.

The *.tex files mentioned above, however, are in the directory
./TeX3.14/LAMS-TeX/inputs.

The "dvipaste" program, originally for DOS and Macintosh
systems, has been ported to Unix by Pierre MacKay. Gcc
compiles it readily, with or without optimization.

Cc complains about macro recursion near the end of the file.
If you fix this problem, please let us know.
