\title{Future Meetings }\vskip-3pt
\centerline{\bf of the BCS ep Group}\noindent
The next meeting of the BCS Electronic Publishing Specialist Group will be on `Typefaces' and will be held at the St
Bride Institute, off Fleet Street on 15 October. Details have not
yet been finalised, but the following list of topics has been
produced and it is planned that speakers will cover many of them:
Font design;
Truetype; Multiple mastering; Windows and fonts; the Bodoni
bicentennial; Grey-scale fonts; Legal aspects; Hinting;
Non-European glyphs; Kerning; Typefaces for DTP.
The full programme and booking form will be distributed in early
September.

A survey of interests conducted by the EP group indicated that a meeting on
Graphic User Interfaces would be even more popular than one on fonts.
A meeting on this topic will be held on 5th December
at the SUN Microsystems office in the City. More information will made
available real soon.

The first meeting of 1992 will also be in London, again at a venue
to be confirmed, and will probably cover topics related to
structured documentation and text management. More details in due
course.

Finally, there will be a conference in 1992. It is hoped that this will
take place in Scotland, but planning is still at an early stage.
More information will be sent out to group members as soon as it is
available. If you are not already a member of the group, contact David
Penfold for information.\noauthor
