% dngen.mf Devanagari of arbitrary point size, thickness, slant,
% and alternate characters
%
% Author : Kevin Carmody <i@kevincarmody.com>
% Maintainer : Anshuman Pandey <apandey@u.washington.edu>
% Date : 8 April 2004
%
% This file is intended for use with arbitrary parameters passed
% to it. You must always pass the following statement:
% input dninit;
% After this statement, you may pass any of the following
% parameters:
%
% Parameter Type Default Affects Example
%
% font_size Numeric 10pt# Point size font_size := 24pt#;
% altfont Boolean false Use of all alternate chars altfont := true;
% bombayfont Boolean false Use of Bombay style chars bombayfont := true;
% calcuttafont Boolean false Use of Calcutta style chars calcuttafont := true;
% nepalifont Boolean false Use of Nepali style chars nepalifont := true;
% boldfont Boolean false Use of bold attributes boldfont := true;
% italicfont Boolean false Use of italic attributes italicfont := true;
%
% The above parameters set values of the ones below. You may
% independently set the parameters below to further customize the
% font.
%
% alta Boolean false Use of alternate a alta := true;
% altri Boolean false Use of alternate .r and .R altri := true;
% altli Boolean false Use of alternate .l and .L altli := true;
% altcha Boolean false Use of alternate cha altcha := true;
% altna Boolean false Use of alternate .na altna := true;
% altjha Boolean false Use of alternate jha altjha := true;
% altla Boolean false Use of alternate la altla := true;
% altsha Boolean false Use of alternate "sa altsha := true;
% altksa Boolean false Use of alternate k.sa altksa := true;
% altjna Boolean false Use of alternate j~na altjna := true;
% altone Boolean false Use of alternate 1 altone := true;
% altfive Boolean false Use of alternate 5 altfive := true;
% alteight Boolean false Use of alternate 8 alteight := true;
% altnine Boolean false Use of alternate 9 altnine := true;
% nepalijha Boolean false Use of Nepali jha nepalijha := true;
%
% thickfactor Numeric 1 Thickest stroke thickfactor := 1.2;
% thinfactor Numeric 1 Thinnest stroke thinfactor := 2.0;
% subthickfactor Numeric 1 Subscript thickness subthickfactor := 1.2;
% slantratio Numeric 0 Slantedness slantratio := 1/4;
% font_identifier String (calculated) Internal font name font_identifier := "DVSP16";
%
% The font_size parameter is the size of the font. You must use a
% unit followed by a #. Units include:
% pt# point 72.27pt# = 1in#
% pc# pica 1pc# = 12pt#
% in# inch 1in# = 2.54cm#
% mm# millimeter 10mm# = 1cm#
% cm# centimeter 1cm# = 1/2.54in#
% dd# didot point 1157dd# = 1238pt#
% cc# cicero 1cc# = 12dd#
% Font size is also a factor in determining stroke size. See
% below.
%
% Stroke thickness varies between thick and thin settings. The
% thick setting is the product of the default thickness, font size,
% and the thickfactor parameter. The thin setting is the product
% of the default thinness and the thinfactor parameter. The
% subscript thickness is used instead of thickness in subscripts.
% It is a product of the default subscript thickness, font size,
% and the subthickfactor parameter.
%
% The slantratio parameter is the ratio of the horizontal
% adjustment to the vertical height. In trigonometrical terms,
% this ratio is the tangent of the slant angle, which starts at the
% vertical and runs clockwise.
%
% The font identifier is used internally and is not a file name.
% The default font identifier is composed of three components:
% root, suffix, and size. The root is DVNG, if bombayfont is
% true, the root is DVNB, if calcuttafont is true it is DVNC.
% if you specify any of the lower group of parameters, the root
% is DVNX. The suffix
% is B for bold font, I for italic font, BI for bold italic, and
% empty otherwise. The size is the font size rounded to the
% nearest integer.
%
% See dndefs.mf for more information.
