DVIDOT: a component of the emTeX suite.

BOO does not preserve all the necessary information. vvencode is more
reliable, flexible, and powerful. you can find it in
[.archive.tools.vvcode] (including a .BOO executable for DOS, if you
need that)

Subject: laTeX colour support

I need to produce some colour overheads and would like to use
LaTeX and our colour postscript printer to do this.
Is there any colour support under LaTeX at all ??
In SLiTeX there is some but it seems to be limited
to producing primary colours on separate sheets -
and I need the equation mode facilities of LaTeX.

Does dvi2ps support colour in any case ??

Any suggestions or info for an easy workaround
gratefully received.

junk dvi2ps, and install Rokicki's dvips ASAP (for the colour
support). then junk SLiTeX, and check out van Zandt's seminar.sty.
That way, you'll use just LaTeX, have very nice slides, and be able to
use the facilities of your colour PostScript printer (lucky dog).

Please can you tell me if it is possible to rotate tables through
90 degrees in a LaTeX document? If so, how?

Thanks very much

get my `rotating' package from the UK TeX Archive. it has examples of
sideways tables in LaTeX

[ in case others are trying to compile VVcode for themselves on a Vax

You may be interested to know that I managed to get the VVE decoder to work
on our VAX system.
1. Copied [.archive-tools.vvcode]*.h files to target directory
2. Copied [.archive-tools.vvcode]*.cld file " "
3. Copied [.archive-tools.vvcode]*.c files referred to in above file
4. Edit file in 2, changing VVCODE_DIR to directory files were sent to
5. Copy [.archive-tools.vvcode]vaxvms.com to target directory
6. Run 5. by doing @vaxvms
7. Initialise command with SET COMMAND VVCODE
8. It's ready to use.

This info might be of use to other VAX users.

I have a copy of the UK Unix tape from Nottingham - which I got last March.
Does anyone know if this will compile OK on a new SUN Solaris system?
The Solaris OS is the most recent (2.1?) as the box arrived last week.
Just looking for some pointers before I jump in and try it,
    thanks

Yes, it should build ok... I've got it running on our ICL DRS6000,
which, like Solaris 2.1, is SPARC and System V Release 4. You may
want the latest web2c package which you can collect from the archive,
but don't try Sebastian's SPARCTeX package, which I believe is for
SunOS 4.1.x only -- the SVR4 Application Binary Interface will be
different.
