ATOPS V1.0 1993 (ASCII Text to Postscript converter) USAGE: ATOPS [options] file(s) [options] files(s) ... where options apply to all following files on the command line unless later changed. Default options can be obtained by specifying a '-' character immediately after the option character. Files can be specified using UNIX wildcard specifications. Available options w/defaults are: -a e|o; print (e)ven or (o)dd sheets. Default: print all sheets. must be used before first file spec only -A ; list ADOBE font codes. Default: none -b ; do not draw border around pages. Default: draw border -c ; clip printed line to line width. Default: wrap lines -d ; encapsulate file with control D characters. Default: no control D. must be used before first file spec only -D n|t; print file in duplex mode on supported printer and optionally [(n)o](t)umble back side. Default: no duplex, no tumble. must be used before first file spec only -f FcFs; fontcode,Fc and fontsize,Fs (e.g. C11 => Courier at 11pt). fontcode is based on the 35 standard Adobe typefaces. if fontcode is not recognized, it will be used as the fontname. (e.g. r0.5in,b0.5in). Default: l18,r18,b18,t18 -n[w] ; print line numbers to right of line in a field width of w digits. Default: no print [w=6] -N ; start next file on next subpage. Default: start on next sheet -o fn; output file name/device. Default: lpt1 must be used before first file spec only -O p|l; orientation of printout, (p)ortrait or (l)andscape. Default: p -p PR; range of pages,PR to print seperated by commas.(e.g. 1,3-5,11,20- will print pages 1,3 through 5, 11, and 20 until end of file or -10 will print all pages from start of file to and including page 10). Default: print all pages -P fn; copy file,fn to prolog section of output file. For use with Type 3 fonts. Default: none. must be used before first file spec only -s letter|legal|a4; specify paper size. Default: letter -S e|o; swap margins on (e)ven or (o)dd sheets during duplex printing. Default: no swap -t n; expand tab character to n spaces. Default: 8 -T 1[m]|2[m]; specify papertray and manual feed option. Default: 1 -u ; when printing 4 pages per sheet, order pages top-bottom=>left-right. Default: order left-right=>top-bottom -w n; set line width to n characters. Default: 80 Default values for all options can be saved in the environment variable "ATOPS", and later modified on the command line. (e.g. "SET ATOPS=-t6 -w90 -ml0.5in" will set the defaults; expand tabs to 6 spaces,line width of 90 characters, and left margin of 0.5 inches respectively.)
